Casa Ellul is housed in a Victorian-era palazzo that dates back to the early 19th century. The exact construction start date is unknown. However, historians suggest that it was sometime around 1830 – when a previous Knights-era building was demolished to make way for a group of houses.

Each suite has been individually designed and has furnishings that have been carefully selected for that particular suite. For example – suite 3 has a custom-made wallpaper depicting a Maltese landscape; suite 6 is the epitome of minimalist interior design, while suite 2 is quasi-Parisian in style. 

Suite 7 stands out from the rest of the suites by having a private terrace and jacuzzi. Moreover, suite 7 guests can enjoy excellent viewpoints of Valletta’s rooftops, Marsamxett Harbour and the Carmelite Church while enjoying a glass of bubbly in the terrace’s jacuzzi. 

And what about the bath tubs in suites 2 and 5? These suites have a free-standing, Hidrobox bathtub, which maintains the water temperature throughout providing maximum comfort to the guests, whilst transforming bathing into a luxurious experience. 

Views of the Carmelite Church

The Carmelite Church is one of Valletta’s main tourist attractions and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
